The Namibian Oncology Centre (NOC) at 3 Heliodoor Street is hosting a stem cell donor registration drive today until 14:00, in partnership with the Cancer Association of Namibia and the international “Matches on the Map” campaign. Robin Lewis, a cancer survivor and leader of the campaign, is on site explaining the quick and painless registration process. The drive aims to boost Namibia’s critically low stem cell donor numbers and raise awareness about the importance of genetic matches for patients with blood cancers.
